The SOAS Law Journal has 6 editorial spaces (Associate Editor) open for the upcoming Vol 4 Issue 2, which is to be published in August 2017.
If you are selected, it will be an excellent opportunity to work on an academic law journal and to be part of a unique team consisting of both SOAS undergraduates and postgraduates. The Journal also receives support from an Honorary Board consisting of leading academics and practitioners, as well as an Academic Board comprising key academic staff members of the SOAS Law Department. Furthermore, our Journal has been indexed on online databases such as HeinOnline, and is regularly printed in hard copy.
Because of the fierce competition and the high editorial standards we aspire to maintain, the application process will consist of two stages:
Stage I (Application Form and CV)
- Complete and submit the SOAS Law Journal Application to the Editorial Team. Please find a copy below.
- Attach a copy of your Curriculum Vitae (CV), as either a Word or PDF document.
Stage II (Assessment)
- Shortlisted applicants will be sent a short assessment designed to evaluate applicants’ ability to edit under OSCOLA regulations and correct grammar mistakes. More details will be provided to successful applicants.
Deadline: Sunday, 23 April 2017 (midnight).
Once you have filled in the form, please attach and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org under the subject ‘SOAS Law Journal Editorial Team Application (Volume 4, Issue 2)’.
Lastly, if you have any further questions or queries about the Journal, feel free to contact us.
We look forward to receiving your applications.
